could you not sample them off records/cds? then you might get a feel for the songs/genre your sampling from.
otherwise its just a copy of a copy of a copy..........

Yeah, just sample em off something. I'm 99% sure that's where the house tunes you are referring to grab them from. Also, don't chop the sh!t out of them. Chop a sample of drums that's say a 1/4 or 1/2 bar long, pitch it right and let it ride. it has some loops in it. its up to you to decide if their good for you or not.
all i can say is that the samples of the single hit are great. all real drum and percussions.

find some filthy hippy with a drum and just record them playing along with your track. slice it up and keep the best bits. You can find some hippy by posting a note on a university message board, or approaching any bongo drummers you might find in parks, festivals etc. Most will be glad to help out.
