I'm of mixed opinion on this ( nothing to do with whatever was wrote in that magazine ) Just about copying people in general. I think if you are just starting out, you may benefit from it. Interesting thing is that it's a form of training. Every beginner painter has to learn to reproduce a copy of their favourite painting. nothing wrong with it. You learn by mimicking, even socialisation works that way.
