Its the most influential label in minimal techno so it makes sense that people talk.

On this board it is known how M_nus has a very well thought-out marketing strategy which includes backfire publicity.. take the cube for example.

People talk about this label is because of Richie. He was the godfather of minimal as we know it and many users here are dissapointed and bitter from his recent antics, and wish he could stop the "me so special" act.

ah more minus bashing. so fresh.
Coogs joke was superb tho.

Why do people care about Richie Hawtins personality so much?

Yeah just poking a little fun. On a serious note Slices is right, I haven't read the article so I shouldn't be so quick to say something but on the other hand it just seems this label is everywhere all the time. I apologise.

You can´t read it, you have to watch it! ;-)

Iam pretty sure after the DVD is released there will be more discussions ;-)

yeah i do agree with the theory that they are over covered in many ways.
there are frankly better labels out there that get less coverage etc.

i sometimes think its better to not know anything about the people behind the music myself. maybe some production details are interesting, but what they eat, feelings about this, that, blah blah, blah....no thanks.

i think musicians are among the most uninteresting people in the world actualy. but i like their music.

Always the same thing.
There are better and more interesting labels for sure.
There are better DJs and Producers for sure.
And there a couple of DJs, Producers and Labels who are just a bit more clever in marketing and selfpromoting and they know how to create a buzz.
Everybody wants an I-Phone but there are lots of better smartphones.
So what?
Its all about what people need and what they want.
