raw vinyl is clear, and the colour is just a polymer pigment.
there is more likely to be differences from different pressing plants, as they mix the pigment and PVC on site, so bad mixing or incorrect temperature is more likely to cause differences.
as far as i'm aware, the black pigment is carbon which has a low coefficient of friction, and a lubricative effect, and thats why they use it, but dont quote me.
Now you're quoted

Ok just got back from the pressing plant, where I get my vinyl pressed. They told me there is a slight difference in sound quality, but nothing major.

yeah at hereford, then a bus that doesn't leave very often (worth checking timetables of when you're train arrives and when the next bus is), then a shortish walk to Baskerville hall.

bit of a mission all told but a really nice journey. fucking lovely countryside and lots of funny welsh people. heheh.

i think this is the bus...

wicked :) That's great news man, I hope it works out ! I'll be on that like a rash either way man.

I know someone who recently put out a coloured doublepack, so I'll ask him what he thought, personally - I couldn't tell the difference between it and the masters, but he's far more critical than me, So I will ask him what he thought.
