diefenwald, there is not _the_ big solution to your problem.

there is a lot of internet research involved to find samples of older records... so you have to know what to look for and then you have to be lucky to find samples. it's not as if there's one internet record shop that has everything online you're looking for - there's many.
so whenever i come across a label or an artist that's interesting for me, i go through all the backstock i can find soundfiles for on the internet - which often means doing research for more than 3 hours, sometimes even days.

and btw , usually old records that end up again in a record shop are
not in mint condition , so you have to assume some quality drawbacks .

but that's just in some cases .
