When i moved to city where i live now i've also been a bit overwhelmed and it took some time to get into djing again. I wasn't very popular dj so... i got in touch with these well known :) And then everything went like it should -> contacts, bookings, promoting, organizing gigs etc etc.
But in fact, You need to be a social person to stay in touch with other ppl.

all the best dude and keep workin'!

the way i got into it was by holding a sign

" will dj for food "

now I can afford all the food I want.

on a serious note. releases are probably the way to do it. They are like a calling card.

It helps being a beautiful girl, so you could work on that part too.

DJ skills don't get you anywhere. You can be Jeff Milligan and without contacts and releases noone fucking cares. It's just names names names. There's so many horrible DJs in Berlin getting gigs it almost makes you wonder what's wrong with that city...

Unless you're friends with everyone the only thing that really helps is getting some releases that are as much cliche undeground mainstream as possible, best on some Berlin-based label. Good luck anyway.
