These bad boys are built and feel like tanks when you wear em. Excellent sound quality and they're very durable. Highly recommended.

For studio work, AKG K 701s are simply incredible (they replaced the K 1000s which were industry legends).

For DJ use, like everyone else has said, the Sennheiser HD25s.

I have the Sony's and yeah they broke exactly in the pivot joints... although mine are still held together with super glue and still work like a charm... but i wouldn't recommend them... hehe

another vote from me for the HD25's.
nothing beats the ability to replace any broken part on them!
