Here's the fastest shortcut on earth to getting the swing you want on a beat:

step 1
get the sampler of your choice

step 2
load it up with a drum sample of your choice

step 3
hit record

step 4
play it with your hands on your keyboard

it's oldschool but if it ain't broke don't fix it

you can also try to load your samples in Simpler or Impulse .. make your pattern.. and then trying to "alter" them with dBlue Glitch tool, it is very good and its for free. you can find it at kvraudio.com. Also there are plenty others small tools to mess / glitch your sounds around.

Microtonic is available as an UB: http://www.soniccharge.com

Or use impulse and Ableton shuffle.

Until now i've only used impulse. But how can you shuffle that? (not manualy)

I just love the way you can shuffle with Drumazon. That's what i was actually looking for, but a plugin that also allows loading different samples.

Live has a little number in the upper side next to "4 / 4" and changing that value should make the shuffle. but i find that option really shity :D

Dont even bother thinking about twisting a knob to get shuffle.

Take some funk loops and examine where the drummer is putting the beat, and learn from this where to program your hits.

Press ALT in Live to disable the quantize.

You get more control of stuff. Its taken me years to figure out that lazyness wont get me anywhere.

i knew about that ... it's just some groove control that messes up everything.
