I would follow the suggestions on the post. Bone first then make some new sht. While in the act you can be thinking of how the song will flow and what it needs to get there. Situations like that have been used throughout history to break a creative slump.

hey guys,

thanks for your advices. Fortunately now I'm not in a creativity dip but I know what to do next time I'll be in such a situation.

Anyway next summer I'll spend 2 months in the swiss mountains looking after cows and doing milk and cheese with the father of a friend of mine, very hard work but high in the swiss mountains, w/o electricity, cell phone.. ideal to reload the batteries and eventually re-start playing percussions.

definitely the country walk thing !!
listening to the sounds of running water and birdsong really refreshes your ears, all those electronic sounds fry your brain eventually.
also try doing something totally against the rules, eg. dont use any sounds or patterns that are considered the norm, it works for me everytime, opens up new neural pathways in the brain.

Making music and post here and there is all I do.

Whenever I try to take a break, I become insecure and lost. I don't know what to do.

Music is an obsession and it's becoming heavy. It's like... sometimes I feel music is playing me.

This might sound weird... but sometimes I wish I wasn't a musician... that I was just a listener... totally free of having to create to feel like anything higher than dirt.

I should see a psychologist.

People... I beg not to make fun of me. I had to get this off my chest and I think you are great people. I think I'm going to cry...
