Don't know what will happen generally but I know what I'll be doing...

Buying the entire
Background, Revolver, Plus 8, Peacefrog, G-Man & Persona backcatologues & not playing anything released after 2002...

as much as i love music before 2003 there has been some truly amazing music since then.

It's march now 2008 is well underway.

IMO playing only older music is no better or wiser than playing only new music. For me it will always be about balance. Discovering old gems and playing timeless older music makes me realise why I love the scene and hearing quality fresh new music makes me realise why I want to keep on loving the scene

Old music can sound a lot fresher than new music. As long as there's nothing new in the new music there's no reason to play it.

True...but what about the old saying "if it isn't broke, don't fix it"?

Sometimes a new track doesn't cover any new ground but I like it anyway because it just sounds good or gives off a different emotion.
