i'm not sure exactly. i was pretty into progressive house and tech house for a while, but there were always tracks outside that realm that i really liked, but never actively pursued. i think back right at the beginning when i was still transitioning from listening to prog trance to prog house, i heard the villalobos remix of heiko laux - moved and thought it was awesome. when i first started buying records i'd pick up stuff like hawtin & bug - low blow and the sommerpause ep on perlon along with regular prog stuff.
things changed when i first found rhythm & sound, i guess. i got really into the basic-channel dub sound, and from there started branching more into minimal stuff.
it's funny, because i remember distinctly thinking "i will never ever enjoy minimal stuff like this, it's completely devoid of artistic merit" when i first started listening to edm. it's interesting how your tastes change in ways you can never anticipate.
how did you start listening to minimal music?

i blame the a side
but my musical taste has always been minimal as far as i can remember. we just didnt call it that way then
and minimalism in my life has to do with other stuff besides music![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

How did I start listening to minimal?
I don't know... It suddenly was there. lol
Started listening to electronic music a cuple of years ago with listening to TRANCE! (DON'T lough! *g*)
Later on artists like Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer and Thomas Krome were my favourites.
After finishing this "bad phase" i changed to House and bit by bit more minimalistic sounds became interesting to me.
