i friend of mine went home to detroit for x-mas just recently and one thing he noticed is that people did not as dance as mush as they do here in seattle. he said they looked at him as he was a freak show for dancing so much. now i have to assume that there is some dancing in detroit, come on, this motor city we're talking about here. motown! everybody's working for the weekend, right? well he's from detroit and i've seen him cut a rug, so he must of been dancing before he moved out to seattle, i'm sure. so i want to know where this stereotype comes from. is there really an air of, "Hey, we're just here to listen to our music so stop dancing!"? or is this just an urban legend? so all you cats from The D, do you dance* or don't you?re.vise wrote:So, I've been watching all morning at youtube the video's from DEMF and I was wondering why 80% of the crowd stands still. When I go out in Amsterdam I get bumped everywhere because of jumping people and even sometimes I get some legs in my face because of the extreme shuffle-moves. Whats up with Americans and not dancing to great music? And if they dance it look like they took 5mg MDMA with 3 XTC pills with a little cocktail mixture containing some GHB. Do people in the states have an other opinion when going out for a party?
