Yeah, Paia have sold do-it-yourself electronic instruments since the seventies. The kits are very straightforward, but you should at least try some soldering first before attempting to build a synthesizer. Paia is a great opportunity for someone who would like to own a modular, but can't afford one. Also, you gain some excellent technical ability, with multiple applications! Check out these Paia synths:4am wrote:hey i just visited http://www.paia.com for the first time and it looks really interstingsauce wrote:

I bet you could put it together, but it will probably sound horrific. You may want to get some clean audio samples of it if your looking to actually use it for something. My friends built a synth similar to something like this and it sounds like ass. It looks very similar4am wrote:and sorry for the dumb question but:

I guess if your just interested in learning the goods its probably a good place to start out? but then again I havn't used a soldering iron in years.

No, you're wrong. This Fatman is a full analog, audiophile's synth, and Paia has been world-renown for decades. How many synths have you guys built?
Also, if you buy the international version, it will come with the case. As in, you don't have to buy another one! It won't come with a power supply, however, so you will have to visit your local Radio Shack, or something.. Are they international?
