we all know james brown existed so shitty house producers and run-o-the-mill homegrown rapstars could learn how to sample

ha

Ok I'm starting to understand you have a sense of humor... only it's the closest thing to obsessive-compulsive masturbation in existence.

The thing is, sometimes you make me laugh and I take the guess you like to spice up this board. You're probably one of those guys that think we're too geeky, too serious and that we're reacting emotionnally for nothing. I'm not sure what kind of satisfaction it provides you to react like you do. Just maybe, I guess, to see the reaction of hurting someone's feeling for the fun of it.

And when I said your comments are sometimes stupid, I didn't say you're stupid. I meant that I though sometimes you exagerate.

oh well, whatever.
Hey Pheek, you're absolutely right by the way... Lil' Jerk is doing all this stuff to do what you just said, sit back and laugh and whatever... In case it isn't known or anything, he is/was my roommate. He went back to school a week ago since he was back for the holidays, but I just want to say that while he says what seem to be harmful things, he only does it for kicks... :\ I'm not saying its any more right than it is wrong - not at all, but what I can say is don't let it bug you. Especially you Pheek! You have enough things going on that no University kid should be able to take away from. Anyways, to all the mods and plaster and whoever was saying he should be banned... know that you may also ban me if you ban him, because he used my computer for all that stuff :!: :!:

You obviously have very little knowledge of hip hop, so please don't knock some of it's greatest songs.

...anyhow

Thanks James Brown for letting us steal all of your wonderful music.
No style of dance music is free from at least a little bit of your influence.

it's true. in fact, it was only a guess that he was sampled by hip hop / rap / whatever music. well... not completely.. everyone's sampled him. and i know enough about hip hop to say i don't like it. and also that it used to take some talent.

The list posted by JNX contains some of the most talented hip hop acts ever. I'm very familiar with many of those songs. I know what I'm talking about.
The producers who made those tracks paved the way for what we do. Without them, we wouldn't even be having this stupid conversation because this message board would not exist.
