I think minimal is already dying out. The bigger records these days seem to be sexier, heavier, and more melody driven than the clickfest on labels like Tuning Spork or Foundsound (no disrespect to the labels). Some of the biggest tracks in "minimal" are really more house or electro than minimal. Doppelwhipper is arguably more of a regular techno record. Seeing Through the Shadows by Locodice is more Detroit techno. The Alex Under and Tadeo cuts are more like the next generation of tech house. Rej isn't minimal, but on a whole different level of music production that most minimal guys can't even begin to follow. Audion's mouth to mouth is more of a futuristic disco house sort of sound. Etc., etc., etc.

See, some of the biggest tracks of the summer aren't even really "minimal" when you think about it.

Tuning Spork?? Have you heard the Amim vs Signor Andreoni on tuning spork family affair?? That is sexy my friend.. if anything Tuning Spork is one of the most exciting labels at the moment. Even the stuff Fuckpony make.. that is futuristic sex driven funk right there..

1st scenario: tiesto, van dyk, picotto, van beuren etc go minimal too

2nd scenario: DEATH (which is more likely to happen). its getting out of hand already the past ~2 years. 98% of the productions is crap already
the "minimal" trend has maximised
