It's an old laptop, it should be the PCG versions, which i think they don't manufacture anymore. I have a PCG-661M and I think it's just the same laptop that Troy and Magda have, although it may be different in specs or precise model. Hope the info helped. and to add to whatever smuk is...I disagree on the groundbreaking except for magda...the rest of those producers seem to simply copy hawtin and they all use the same setup...ground breaking is usually one person...i give credit to magda though...her sets always stand out from the rest of the minus pack...much funkier...and for troy...i like his earlier stuff before he became a minus staple...not to take away from them though, they are good...music is really cool,...but hawtin was the groundbreaker...
my pick for groundbreaking is perlon...anything on that lable...always different but yet still um...perlon...
And what part of Bizarro-world didn't you understand?Measax wrote:what is smuk?Macsz wrote:Smuk wrote:Jon Gaiser, Magda, Heartthrob, Troy Pierce and Marc Houle in Bizarro-worldplaster wrote:

Bizarro world is the opposite of this world. In Bizarro world m_nus sounds great and Perlon like trash. M_nus sucks bigtime!
Doh
It was a lame joke!

I was wondering how he makes that effect that hawtin also often uses. I mean the effect where he takes a small sample of any playing track and than repeats that but then it gets controlled slower or faster.
also what midi-controller does he use?
