Re: [PNR003] Pluie/Noir - Year One Compilation
haha...funny how the romanian sound which was celebrated all over this forum a while ago gets now hated here quite a bit just because it's the romanian sound. somehow i feel like some people will always hate what others (in their perception THE MASS) find great just to be different, no matter what. this release has not lower quality than the other romanian releases which got hyped alot about one yr ago...in fact i think most of these tracks sound pretty decent. of course its not super fresh and "new" sound or something like that...but that's the same with recent ricardo realeases or the x-th re-release of some old chicago/ detroit/ NY house record.
oh and let's not forget to diss the digital djs and labels...they are so not underground headzzz..

@BrokenBo
I can't speak for everybody, but i don't think that people hate the sound per se... Only the mediocre formulaic sh!t that we've been over-saturated with lately.

Re: [PNR003] Pluie/Noir - Year One Compilation
i didnt mean to hate on the "romanian" sound.
i was questioning the vision/purpose of the label.
as i heard the first time about pluie/noir, i thought: oh wow some really motivated guys from portugal lets see what they release.
and what we got was a pedro, a vlad caia and a compilation ep.
in my opinion, dispensable.
i dont see a very bright future for them if they continue this way.
i would understand it if some romanian people get together, found a label, and release their stuff.
but to say it again - this is a portugal label who felt the need to release even more romanian stuff - thats not really understandable for me.

nationalist and anti-globalist is kind of the same thing or not?
i didnt mean to say only romanians should release romanian music of course.
i guess what i want to say in the end - i cant pinpoint it exactly but the whole concept of this label is lacking something
