which notebook to buy????????
with that money u can get both almost equally good, processor core2duo around 2,5 ghz or core i5 is enough, concentrate more on RAM as someone already said mac offers ddr3 which is quite better then ddr2 (but u can get ddr3 for pc too) and make sure to be a min of a 4gb, also its much better to get HD of 7200rpm then 5400rpm (but u might already have external or ur gonna get it in some time)
so basicly u can get better specs for pc with that amount of money, but i think after a couple of years mac is gonna run smoother so its all up to you which one do u prefer![Wink ;)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Same here, I spent 12 years messing around with pc's trying to fix every little crash. Now that I'm on the mac... pure making music time!!patrick bateman wrote:The best thing I ever did regarding computers was when I 2 years ago switched from PC to macbookpro, this have for me been the best thing, but it might not be for you.
windows xp and windows 7 are ROCK solid and especially version 7 comes very very closed to os x regarding stability.
but I love mac and os x now.
