I was using the Audio 8 DJ with the traktor scratch and also for production with ableton for some time and i have no complains, i think it is a great sound card. now i sold the traktor pacage and i am thinking on going for a fire wire since i am not so into djing lately....

I have both

The difference:
Audio8: 96khz
Kontrol1: 192khz.

Really happy with the Kontrol1, it does a brilliant job with minimal latency. I also use the button from time to time as a midi-control. Pretty cool feature.

Anyone has tried to mix in Traktor with the AK1... not easy

I've got an echo audiofire 2 and it's a great very portable sound card. I've never had any problems with it at all. I can't recommend it enough. You need firewire though.
