PB 12" + maudio 410 + 1 turntable
a numark 5000fx connects everything
in the future, a xone 92, redsound and a DX2 from faderfox
and if all my vinyl is sold, another secondhand PB 12"
as for mixing, i always start, with the thought that i'm spinning on a party, 8 o'clock in the morning, and my mission is to get the people mental and dance

recovering dnb djs are always the sickest.i_o wrote:...like i use to mix drum'n'bass. Aggressively ! hehe
me: 1200s + allen & heath x102+serato + live 6 (i don't use them all at once, tho!) + xsession pro controller + maudio firewire card.
i notice that most minimal djs mix minimal like the music they played "before." i played hiphop first-- cut hard through mids and hold it till i can't hold it no more.
but anyway-i'm ashamed to say my decks are a bit dustysince live 6 came out--and you never have to worry about beatmatching no matter how faded you might be. i try never to have more than 3 tracks goingout at a time. and i never stop messing with the knobs. otherwise i get bored and might as welll be playing an ipod.
