yes when drawing notes its indicated to do that with the help of a midi controller (m-audio and evolution for example), not only because is kind of hard to draw every single note.. but when using a keyboard you can develop sounds in a more creative way..

i guess if you are dong very melodic techno i could see a use for it...but for the "sound" i wanna get...i actually like drawing in notes...

It's enough. Nothing else to say really, put some time and effort into it, and your skills will improve gradually.
I have been using it now for a few days but it seems like I need a better piano roll edit.
Why?
It is very hard to do something in that editor if your are yousing some synths and not only loops.
Since you already spent money on Live, maybe you should try it some more before you decide to ditch it!
I dont mean to ditch it, just saying what could be better.

Forget 'better', you can make releasable material on anything that's a step up from Ejay. Honestly.

But, if you're unhappy about the pianoroll in Live, I suggest you try FL Studio. Be prepared to unlearn what you've learned till now, though...

well, my conclusion is,

LIVE is for LIVE.

it's super, for example, to dj with,

but in the studio....well....haha

surely 6 months are not enough to know all about an application.
i'm feeling like there's no more mystery on this clip/session view all the time.

it's more like, if i want to or not. (to still wait a mystery)
Reaktor is still a mystery for me though.. :)
