ok, i have ordered the second one...
it is the only one which has card bus support (for my rme multiface II)

the amount of memory after 1 gb won't have any effect on your programs, just if you're using lots of samples.

about the processor i'm still not 100% sure.
some say that "core duo" could be more confortable on a laptop as the new "core 2 duo" because of the longer battery life and less heat...

Bought a new music PC with intel core 2 duo and it's much faster than my old pc (Athlon XP 3200+), it's a lotta fun working on this baby.

Doubt there'll be anything in this comparable price/performance category anytime too soon. If you're after a new PC, don't wait.

Not true: check this review:

Speed difference between Core Duo and Core 2 Duo seems to be really a small percentage; Anandtech says they are limited by current chipsets and faster ones will come in 2007.

So maybe you could save some money and get a Core Duo.
