Xone 92 or Ecler Nuo 5

Post by romanch »

I was wondering if these two are even comparable. It looks as if Nuo 5 is a solid mixer. Plus, it's manufactured in Europe. Did anyone have a chance to play on it? If yes, how is the feel and sound quality? Thanks!!

I have no idea what the Nuo 5 is, but to be honest, in my personal opinion, no mixer comes close to Allen&Heath mixers.. The sound quality is superior to anythign else I ahve heard or played on..

Ecler make good quality mixers, up with Rodec, Rane etc. I have a HAK series mixer. Faders are proper quality and have a good feel.

It comes down to what features you want.

Nuo 4 supports midi, 5 doesnt. Go for the Xone, excellent sound and better faders & pots then the ecler

tsod,

XONE:92 AS A MIDI Controller
MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) allows the Allen & Heath XONE:92 panel controls to transmit MIDI data to enable remote control of external effects, samplers, sequencers including Ableton LIVE and the Korg KAOS Pad. Tap Tempo related MIDI clocks are also transmitted from the XONE:92 to provide synchronisation of MIDI sound modules to pre-recorded sources playing through the XONE:92.
