this is exactly it, meddling with the right channel - although i'm sure there was a little coming through on the left also. I remember it was most distracting on the disc with edamame on it - that track being particularly spoilt. fck, just checked my copy, and have new needles (2 week old), and it surely have a loud hiss in the right channel. The worst is C and D (record 2) for me, but can also be heard on record 1.
