have been a huge fan of kompakt and the total series..
but this seems to be a bummer this time :/
cd features as usual a lot of known songs.. but the new stuff isnt any appealing at all imho :(

Well, they are not THAT new, of course they are well-known since they were featured in all the mixes made by the bests - this doesn't mean that they aren't good or something.
For example I cannot get enough of that Arquipelago tune

And let's not talk about 'The Happy Monster'

im just a little sad about the way kompakt went in the last year...
i like the idea behind the new k2 label which is probably the stuff to stick to in future but still im sad about it, since it was the first contact with techno for me

and actually i dont ment the old well known stuff -- which came out on vinyl --
but the new stuff.. superpitcher, koehncke, dj koze.. its all just boring..
the only really good ones are the babicz track and the new juergen paape one.
im not really sure if the rob acid one is new or came out on vinyl already.. sounds very familiar..

i tend to agree unfortunately. think the only one of the new-school kompakt producers that does anything for me is gui boratto. stuff like oxia and the rice twins just irritates me... too border community-like. but i kinda like voigts "tranceformation". the play with words in the title is fun and says that they at least have a bit of what we swedes call "självinsikt" (awareness of self, sort of).
