I think it just sucks for people who have been dj-ing for quite some time and learned the good old fashioned way that they now see people just buying some software and don't even have to develop any skill to start mixing.
I think that's the reason why some people still kinda have a problem with it.

beat matching doesn't take any skill... the skill comes in after the beats are matched. If there is a tool that elimnates the 10 seconds it takes to beat match, use it and then become a good dj.

i don't agree on that. it's not like everyone can just come up to the tables and match two tracks perfect + make a good transition. i think it takes skill, timing and a good ear to know when to use eq.

Cans: I think it takes at least a bit more skill to beatmatch and time two records perfectly and then mix them then just pressing some beatmatch button.

But it is a topic with no end so not alot of point to continue to argue.
