Statler & Waldorf are releasing a techno based 12 inch EP series of more or less experimental dance music. The series will consist of three releases, each of EP length and vinyl only. A selection of tracks from the EPs will then be compiled for a concluding CD relase.
First release in the series is by Pellarin who made a warm dubby techno texture, as a follow up to his 2004 album Athen. This time the focus has been on groove and timbre rather than concept and sound, although it has a very consistent feel. Long tracks with modulating delay variations will make a good mixing tool for DJs but also work well for listening and in more chilled situations.

A few reviews:
"A stunning record combining Basic Channel and state-of-the-art minimal sounds, e.g. in style of Num-Records. Really really deep."
