Super lame of me that I haven't updated this page since mid-May. I haven't gone anywhere, nor has the night, so I'll add those past two months of playlists to here and we'll get this back up to date later tonight! Ok, so nobody's really been crying about it, but I still feel bad for not posting them up here. After all, y'all prolly know more about this stuff than 90% of my regular audience, so it's a good feeling to share with you.

yeah, so I've really not kept up with this board too regularly in the past while. wanted to drop a line here to let you all know that Techno Sol is still going strong, celebrated 2 years in January with Troy Pierce as the special guest. Also hosted Safety Scissors in Feb. and have Bruno Pronsato (check it) in a few weeks. Starting to pick up more regular out of town guests, so if there's anyone on MNML that is coming to the West Coast of the US, drop a line and we can work out something perhaps.

I used to live in Portland (in the SE) quite a few years back and can't see many fans of minimal tunes in that city but i think it's great ya keeping it going. playlists look good and nice to see ya mix the laptop with the turntables...keeps it fun! If i was still out there i would definately support! That place needs it.

Yes, Portland is definitely first and foremost a House town. However, there is definitely strength in other scenes, particularly DnB, Breaks, and Hip Hop. Of course, the Indie Rock and indie electronic scenes here are the biggest overall...

That said, Portland has a small but strong & dedicated following of Minimal/Tech House/Electro House/et al right now, mostly brought on by a few of us who are really pushing the sound here for the past few years. Definitely a recent (3 yrs or so) thing, though. It helps that we can pair up with Seattle sometimes to build a larger regional audience for some of these sounds...
