Sell TR 909 buy machine drum

hi guys,

my 909 is sitting unused in the studio, I want a machine drum.
The only way for me to get the money for the MD now would be selling the 909.
It has a "sentimental" value for me, it has been my first drum machine ever... and it can be used as a sequencer in "ext instrument" mode, while so far i know this is not possible with the machinedrum.
What would you do? I need help deciding.

sorry I'm on a nostalgia trip... went to the studio today and played a bit today, I changed my mind, I'll wait a bit more for the machinedrum but I'll keep the 909

out of the blue I don't remember how to activate it, but briefly said it turns the 909 in a sequencer for external gear, it no longer plays its sounds it just send the seq out.
I have a user manual in pdf but no webspace, if someone of you needs it feel free to pm me I'll send a copy.
