Sweet!
My girlfriend had to move back to ontario to take care of a sick father, so I convinced her that I should come out to visit her in guelph, and we'll drive to Montreal to catch Mutek.
I am so excited about seeing this festival, as I've heard nothing but great things.
Do they sell passes for the whole thing, or do I have to get tickets for the shows I want to see in advance?

You can get passes for the whole thing, or you can just buy your tickets for whatever event at the venue sometime before it starts. You can do all of that online as well as in personbut you'll save the service charges by just going to montreal and buying your tickets in person. Don't worry, nothing will be sold out.
Mutek has been digressing, I believe, starting this past festival.

Its nothing sure but they lose money every year so I think it's very stressful. When 50% of the people attending comes from out-of-montreal, it's almost an alarm that such a festival might not be appropriate for Montreal.grave wrote:what makes you think this? is this official? i hope not as ive never been and cant afford to fly out to canada this yearpheek wrote: This year's edition could be last so they're booking a lot of big names.
Anyway, don't think its the last one but het, you never know
I heard rumors today... a little bird flew by my window dropping names like:
... a minus showcase... Richie... Villalobos...
hmm... the bird said there's nothing official or confirmed but apparently, it's a work in progress rumor.
