::: rodoid.org ::: call for artists :::

Post by addjunk »

Hi there,

rodoid.org is a non-profit netlabel focused on releasing quality electronic music under a Creative Commons licence.

We are currently working on our first release, a compilation based on audio material from an interactive installation, and we are still looking for artists willing to take part in this project.

The underlying concept is to push a little further the man/machine interaction from the original installation (human activity -> computer processing) by reversing it and giving artists the possibility to re-process and interpret the resulting audio data.

All participants will be provided with a copy of the audio recorded from the original installation, and in return they will have to create a track ENTIRELY based on that material.

This means that the artists are encouraged to cut and paste, apply effects and use audio processing, but they are not allowed to use any external sound sources such as synths, analog drum machines etc.

If you wish to apply for this project, don't hesitate to contact us using the email address below. Please include a short introductory paragraph about yourself and your music - we are mainly interested in experimental-oriented/IDM/minimal artists - and a direct link to one of your tracks in mp3 or ogg format. We will keep you informed as soon as possible.

Best regards.

>>>Yann
