Audio-Technica ATH-R70x Open-Back Headphones

Post by John Clees »

Typically, I would always stay around the $100 mark.
I've used Audio Technica headphones for the past 20+ years.
I tried a few times to get into the $250 range but wasn't impressed even trying other brands as well.
Super glad I took the jump to $350
I'm smitten.
A++

Thankfully, I found this guy's page.
I don't believe I've EVER bought anything there, I even left a message at the Audio Technica (Ohio, US) number, but they didn't even call back?

After spending $350, the cord went out on one side, but also worked (you can remove L/R channel, separately), when I plugged in the same cord to the other side, proving it wasn't the headphones, and just the cord.

Meaning, they were designed to be able to replace, however, WHERE to get the supply is the issue.
I took a chance, paid apx. $80 for a new cord from an ETSY page, otherwise, I may not be using these headphones anytime soon.

I couldn't help but share, perhaps, he may have other options/resources for other headphones for others as well.
I may buy a 2nd cord just in case. Gigantic, helpful site/link and resource, thought I'd share.
Thought i'd post a link here as a resource for others.
Be well.

So, so glad this is a "thing" -- off to perhaps buy a 2nd cord/back up cord, to my favorite headphones, that Audio Technica may not even be able to provide, from my understanding.
