Re: Minimum Post Amount for TrackID Section: Whats Your Thou
I moved my response into this thread from Chas burns - put that sh!t on wax by Francesco Del Garda thread.
honestly, Im sure it's happening, but if ppl think it's a good choice to buy a record - JUST after it's been id'd, talk about the worse possible timing. again - this is someone's personal choice. if someone finds out no one is selling a hyped/wanted record, then until others do it's priceless and they should sell it for more. I know we are in the "instant" gratification age, but it's simple supply / demand.. buy winter cloths in summer / buy shorts in the winter... haha. put it on your want list and let time go - at least a year. I've seen a record drop 50% in 6 months.
if your buying a record that you just heard a dj play - it's mainstream in a sense. you didn't discover a buried treasure. you're trying to take someone's play list and make it your own. ppl deserve to pay high prices for being a copy cat record collector. wait, let the hype die down even until everyone forgets about it, then scoop it up for 70% the price you saw it listed the first time. having a little tact when making any purchase in your entire life for that matter, will always benefit the consumer. People that "acquire when they want to" will always be taxed the most.
my approach, is to first understanding the market, then watch the market come down, then pull the trigger on a price that your comfortable with.
I appreciate the discussion....

it's a good spot for sure, it's the flipside of our critic about this movement.
halfly agreed, but i think we are all talking about about these funny things :ppl deserve to pay high prices for being a copy cat record collector.
At the end, still i think it's needed to make this section a bit more private somehow, this would help people to share more and feel safer.. more or lessLowest: €0.01
Median: €2.77
Highest: €60.00

I suppose as with anything else, we can always change things back later on...
perhaps a vote could be in order...
* adjusted initial post to have poll or perhaps it should be in a new topic..?

TBF, there's only so much nonsense one can post. And 100 posts is a lot on this forum.John Clees wrote:so then that provokes them to leave random nonsense everywhere... - just to get 100... ppl will do thatb-ran wrote:yep. minimum 100 posts at LEAST...

lovin elektro would disagree with you. The guy's got near a thousand posts, pretty much all of them asking for ID's. It's become sort of like a full time job for him. I think we should make him an official mascot of this forum.breton wrote:TBF, there's only so much nonsense one can post.
