what can explain these awful pressings? maybe its just the way the tracks were produced? maybe he's getting them from old DAT tapes? idk, but i guess i will skip this.

i think this is just how the productions sound. why would mr melchior not have a clue about pressing quality after like 120 years in this business.

yeah obviously but the recent aspect pressings are awful. Compare this to some of his older works which sound much better, there has to be a reason. Like you said maybe he is going for this sound..who knows
