just my option naturally...

he used to be one of my favorites. so I say this with a soft heart. it sounds like bruno still uses the same drum palette from 2006. always excited to listen to new stuff from him, but it always sounds the same. as in the exact same : always : always. I get excited like a little kid to click play : only to hear the same thing repeatedly : over and over again. bummed again. it's like there's absolutely no depth to his sound past 2006...

the Jens Zimmermann is better but very far from his best. unfortunately not something i'd play either..

not my cup of tea...

shucks -ex

I concur.
It doesn't help that i find most of his 'trademark' sounds annoying as fvck. I mean seriously irritating.

it's been a long long time : the last few I were drawn to where : "Arianna and I" & "Pikone" which was perhaps like 7 years ago...I can't believe not even one release or remix that i've personally come across I"d buy.. discouraging to say the least... it's difficult to end up as someone being your favorite... then to blank out for 7 years... no bueno...

i'm not so sure moving to berlin "helped" his sound...

same here ... i always checked his stuff lately, but it never gets me buying it ... some years ago there are some releases i would had have bought ... but nowadays it is not my stuff ... but i think it is the same with jens, when i heard the samples i was thinking, okay, this is typically for him, but i have this kind of track 2,3,4 times from him ... so i think this one is one to skip ...

There was that track in one of Villalobos' most famous sets, which everyone assumed was his. Now, that one was cool.
It could've been someone else, though... Beating Jens at his own game.
