Bass sound (sound design)

Post by ChromaticsPeople »

Hi all,

I would like to know, in term of sound design, how the bass sound that first appears at 2:14 is created.
It sounds like a moogish sound to me with a lot of reverb on it, but so far I haven't been able to recreate that specific sound that I would love to create.

Here's a link to the video I'm reffering to : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgtpvOH_GQY

Thanks

The easiest way to make full sounding synthesizer bass sounds is by using subharmonic generators, or square waves that are made by dividing from the original signal. A roland sh101 has one for example. On a moog most people lower the square wave one octave down and mix it in with a saw wave.
Here is an example of that sound: http://www.bluelanternmodules.com/wave/ ... %20SUB.wav
