Hi mnml,
I have been encouraged by other mnml members to post my sets/tracks here.
In the past couple of months I have made over 60 new tracks. I took the best ones and chopped them into loops and layers and made this 90 minute live set (14 stereo tracks + 2 operator synths in ableton, 2 x Behringer bcr2000 controllers and a heavy modified x0xb0x). It is a mixture of deep techno, deep house, microhouse with some detroit and reggae flavours in parts.
enjoy!

oh and please feel to share with other people. Critical feedback is welcome
My last live performance was alongside Mat Jonson, Thomas Jirku, Konrad Black... all fellow techno enthusiasts from BC.
Things have been going well in terms of production and proliferation so it is time to hit up some labels with demos. Suggestions are useful to me...
cheers,
intellijel

haha good ear! I did use akkord on some tracks. Nice quick way to get dubby chord progressions, but I also really like it as a quick tool to develop more complex chords.
I have found another way to create simmilar sounds to this by grouping plugins so now I have more control over this type of sound.
thanks for the psoitive feedback!
cheers,
intellijel

Hey thanks!
Actually I wrote all the material for that over the past two months (just before x-mas). It took me a few days to chop everything up into parts (that is always laborious).
But the actual mix was never planned. I pretty much went through tracks/parts in a random order and tried to make one flow into the next using various tools/tricks etc. This was facilitated by a great live setup that allows me to improvise and fludiily mix and match parts. I also have tons of external controls (128 encoder knobs midi mapped to ableton parts and functions + my qwerty keyboard for triggering)
This year I have generated many hours worth of live material, but I have not concentrated so much on finsihing tracks. As a result I need to shift focus! I will not get to perform live much unless I am signed to a label... to get signed to a label I need completed tracks for demoing.
cheers,
Danjel
