I didn't diss it though. I merely pointed out the difference.Papa Bear wrote:Your dissing of it is completely unwarranted imo.

Does that really happen?Papa Bear wrote:It's what a lot of young guys start with these days, before they move on to playing real vinyl.
People who still purchase vinyl are: Old school vinyl snob nerds on Discogs. It's usually music made in 1993.
People who think it's cool to release something limited edition. The catch-22 is nobody is really pushing thousands of copies of dance vinyl anymore that's why it's limited edition.

then most mnml members are old school vinyl nerds? Most quality Dance DJs (Ricardo, Zip, Craig Richards, Daniel Bell, Raresh, Pedro, Rhadoo), too?Dal-Tech wrote:

It's cool some of those old names still spin wax and I for one never got the appeal of Ricardo Villalobos but a person playing CDJ's or digital isn't any less serious. A good DJ is a good DJ.dirddey_iddler wrote:then most mnml members are old school vinyl nerds? Re: Hawtin vs Deadmau5
To be honest, the whole vinyl game today is more about appearance than substance. I respect those who treat it like an art form. They are not making money but want to express themself artistically in a physical format.
