Franklin De Costa – Belongings feat Anonym Remix

After a remarkably strong debut release from The Mole and Jimmy Edgar,
Vitalik’s vinyl only Gold Series shows no sign of letting up the pressure.
Stepping up to the mark this time is consummate sound crafter Franklin De Costa
with a little help from Detroit’s illusive and intriguing Anonym.
Every now and then a piece of music comes along that defies categorization,
something so original and contrasting that it commands your attention,
igniting the synapses of the listener, imprinting itself on their memory.
One such track was Franklin De Costa’s “Corny”.
After years of listening to and playing the track, Vitalik label boss Ryan O Gorman
felt compelled to contact Franklin De Costa and tell him the impact the track had on him,
he went on to suggest that if Franklin were to produce another track of similar boldness
and colour that Vitalik would be welcome home for it. Some time later Franklin responded with “Belongings”.
With it’s meandering 112 bpm pace and its lush, verging on sublime synth washes,
Belongings is a submergence in a sea of dreamy analogue soup. Anonym delves deeper still
with his fathomless Detroit rendition, slow, spacial and subliminal music at it’s best.

Tracks
A. Belongings
B. Belongings (Anonym Remix)

The EP will be pressed to a very limited run of 300 vinyls and will be produced to the
highest production standards featuring gold pressed sleeves and hand illustrated
artwork from Italian illustrator Flavio Carbonara.
