look i love ableton its the centre on my studio and a lot of peoples. But to get a really nice mixdown with more openness you really need to use pt or cubase

yes, this is only Live versus Logic, but funny enough people are regularly complaining about the sound quality of Live,
and not really about Logic.
I'm not having a go at you Michael, I'm just saying I think there's a lot of myth about this issue.
Maybe in the really old versions of Live the sound wasn't the best, but I don't think there's a lot of difference anymore.
And if a test like this shows the results with Logic and Live are the same, then I can't imagine the differences with something like Cubase and PT are that big anymore.
just my 2 cts, I didn't do any of these tests myself (I gave up working with cubase many years ago), but I do think they look rather reliable.
