Re: roland sh-101 for sale
My 606 has been broken for a while so I can't remember exactly what's on the back, but I don't mean a DIN sync connection. I mean sequencing a pattern into the 101's sequencer and then using the EXT TRIG OUT from say a 909 (replaces the rim shot) connected to the 101's EXT CLICK IN. Doing this opens up all sorts of great polyrhythmic possibilities, really floats my boat
Re: roland sh-101 for sale
I was syncing mine via the machinedrum. There's a pulse type waveform in one of the MD's synthesis sections, I routed it to a separate output and fed that to the 101's ext clock in. Then on the MD, for normal sequencing of the 101, I'd just put a note on event in 16ths. It's nice when you don't do that though as you get weird things happening which can be really intersting.
