Hi guys,
I've been trying to create a specific type of bass sound, but I just can't get a grip on it...
Here's an example from a new track from MANIK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MW_KSHT0 ... embedded#!
You hear these types of baselines in many tracks these days, especially in the Hot Creations stuff..
I hope you could help me with creating this!
How-to create this much used type of baseline??
Re: How-to create this much used type of baseline??
What is the difficulty exactly?
Use a monosynth. and play it. it is a very simple bassline, there are like 3 - 5 different notes in the whole thing.
Maybe take the audio from this track... line it up in your DAW, then line up some midi to it. get the notes right, and also notice the space between the notes. (subtle but some notes are held longer than others)
if you are looking for VST for this. try the TAL http://kunz.corrupt.ch/products/tal-bassline
as far as hardware go... this could be the SH-101, moog little phatty, vemona MonoLancet, BUT it sounds like the DSI Mopho to me.
I'll leave it to the other guys to go into the synthesis of this... but its very straightforward and is all about the ADSR and how it shapes the Amp/Filter Envelopes... The DSI Mopho has three ADSR envelopes that you can use to shape the sound which means you can have a different shape for both amp/filter and one other property of the synth.
I'm curious to hear how you make out with this ReDaH. post your results!

Perhaps try emailing him to find out.
It's prob just a couple of saw waves with low pass filter or perhaps a saw/square wave combo.
