As a first "real" post I thought I'd share something good I found this browsing the BPB some days ago.
Mattias Fridell gave away some of his personal samples. Much more "Techno" then most of the stuff from Loopmasters and what not...
Apparently approved & used used by guys like Paul Mac, Unbalance and the likes.
Merry Xmas

I was thinking the same thing, I'm a little curious as to how he builds those sub basses. Filtered down square/saw waves?
Re: Techno Sample pack FREEBIE from Mattias Fridell
Yeah.. those subs are incredible, arent they?
I initially thought that they might be kicks with the tops off - but I havent really studied them too much. The patterns are deadly.
I'd love to know that too.
They're phat as anything though. Very impressive.

yeah, was playing around with a few samples loaded in my MD yesterday evening. Instant techno...
I wonder how much post-processing goes through to get those sounds. Seems like it's anything but "rough" but more of a refined and very precise roughness. Maybe we could try and find out the processing? or even ask Mr Fridell?

Who would be cheeky enough H to ask him such a question?
I'm off to SC to stalk him & let him know about the thread
