i have sat down and fleshed out a track from scratch in about 9 straight hours.
Similarly I have also spent weeks intermittently on a track, the track in my signature Synthetik was the culmination of countless hours between 2 countries and 3 people.
How long to make a track ?
I think it depend of the time you can spend on it as well..I f I havent got so much time..try to acelerate...but usually I spend betwen 3 days and 2 or 3 weeks..

Usually a day or two. I've learnt to only work with my music when I feel up for it and inspired - and when I'm in that mood all the bits and pieces tend to fall into the right place quite fast. I also feel that it's necessary with some breaks here and there to be more honest when judging my own music.
