I have to clean the rpm button on one of my turntables, because it's a bit dirty inside. Can I get to it easilly or is there unsoldering/soldering involved too? I wouldn't want to open the whole lot up for nothing.
Cheers!

Re: Technics 1210 rpm button
hm, i know a really good board www.12x0.de , they have a english section also, maybe you ask you question there.
they have many pictures of modding there, i dont think its hard to get to the unit with the rpm switches.
i found some pictures where the rpm unit is on

Re: Technics 1210 rpm button
Theres a vid on youtube that explains how to repair the power switch which is on the same board as the start/stop and the speed buttons. Not quite what you were looking for but should give you some sort of visual reference for what your dealing with. Shouldn't be any soldering necessary

Re: Technics 1210 rpm button
viperfrank is excellent. Using his videos I managed to completely service the tonearm and height adjustment on a bashed up, 2nd hand 1200...and I don't think I've ever even wired a plug before!
