I remember reading an old Maetrik interview and he said he kinda like interned with Alexi Delano for a few months (or longer?) and got all his chops during that period. At least, hit the ground running. Dude is fire for sure.

Deccard, you couldn't be more spot on in your analysis. All sounds like cheap softsynths to me too. Just because somebody got a great gearlist in an interview doesn't mean they are using them for everythng... but!! They have some great sequences and good drum programming and also some dope sunglasses too which ties it all together for a great party sound. In my opinion maceo plex has the strongest sound out of all those guys on crosstown not sure what he is using but dude knows how to punch it out.
