for the first one, i'd go with NI's B4 II, and for the second, i'd sample some old disco record :) but that's just me...

1: Some Organ, possibly the Korg M1 Organ - which appeared on tons of 90's tunes.

2. A horrible Brass/Orchestral type stab played terribly.

You could always take that sample, snip out that first tone between drum hits, and drop that into the sampler/simpler in Live and play it out like that.

Good luck with that, it's a stab of various instruments which has had an envelope on it and played diatonically. Not being funny when I say 'good luck' but those type of sounds are not something you are going to create in a hurry because it's a collection of various instruments all playing together and sampled and shaped.

If it's the chord you're after, it's an F#m7 ( F#/A/C#/E ) - with some doubling up in the octaves of 3rds and fifths. It sounds like an AM triad but it isn't because the bass is doing F#. Then it's just played as it is on every 2nd interval in the riff.

If you want to get stabs like that kinda thing, listen to some classical music and sample chords and stick an envelope on them and then play them diatonically.
