Yes I know it's painful seeing these posts I just had to ask.
I would like a hint at how these guys did the dub skank stab in this track?

It's very grainy and to me almost sounds like a drum hit going through a phaser.
My own attempts sound very poor though hence me asking.
This is an old track so I guess these guys used hardware.
Thanks.
Sorry guys, hate to do this...
Re: Sorry guys, hate to do this...
Sounds to me like it's going through a phaser too. Phaser/flanger first, then a dub/tape style delay, although afterwards, it seems to be taken off, so in and out, wet/dry manipulation going on. It's very lo fi though so difficult to make out, the whole track sounds slightly chorused/phased to me to be honest. Probably some multi purpose efx unit as there's some resonant filtering going on too later.
Incidently, if you're looking at creating stuff that doesn't have a pristine clinical feel, check out some of Audio Damage's plugs. Ratshack reverb gives you a low quality, yet good low quality ( if you know what I mean ) reverb, they have a great phaser too and dub delay.
