Of course, that's true, but it doesn't change that it also happens within the vinyl domain, that was my point.Themis wrote:i never met somebody who does that, a vinyl costs 7-12 Euro. you dont just take anything.patrick bateman wrote:Vinyl only DJ's buying the top 20 tracks from Decks.de, are they better than the digital DJ buying top 20 fra Beatport? That's what he asked, and it is of course a very valid point.
but beatport is a whole other deal, only 1,30 a track and if you wait a bit 20% less. so show me one vinyl dj who plays some chart hits, and i show you 100 digital DJs who play the same
its not about the format, its about the people behind it.
and if you make something really cheap, then you get many people who are buying.
I agree that there are tons of kids/wannabes that download illegal, rip from soundcloud/youtube, buy the top 100 on Beatport etc etc, but why are we at all talking about them, do they at all matter?
I mean, we're not talking about the average Joe from country side, who buys the top 20 of Decks either. And of course there are a lot of the same kind of kids who buy the vinyl charts, as there are within digital, but true, not as many, but that's obvious, no?
