thanks for the kind words, and egg and chips, i dont argue against everyone all the time, i just like to question the 'normal' way of doing things, because with techno there is no 'normal' way to do things.

i use the 909 mostly as a clock source, but occasionally use the ride and very ocasionally the hi-hats, snare and clap, but 95% of all the percussion sounds are created with the modular.
Steevio tow questions do you have a website and do you mind if I repost this to my blog/facebook techno feed?

hi mate, i have two sites ;
http://www.mindtours.co.uk
http://www.freerotation.com

but the mindtours site is in the process of being re-built so hasnt been updated in a few months, i take my bookings from the freerotation site booking agency...

i dont mind if you re-post it mate no worries.

here's a shorter clip taken from the end section of the one BLM posted here which isnt particularly the best part of the set, 4 minutes of it in the middle was a transition section where i was changing lots of stuff, i need to edit the first one down a bit

its just an improvisation mate, its just what came out on the night, there's no way of getting that back. the only way to capture anything i do is to record it at the time, unfortunately i didnt.

recording modular is tricky....

everytime i play it's always good and different (well, not everytime), so I don't feel so much pressure to record everything. I just need to get more opportunities to play! :)

its not really tricky for me, i record everything i do live and in the studio, i just forgot this time.

why do you think its tricky mate?

it's no different to recording any hardware set-up, you just need a good desk and soundcard.
